Discipleship Classes

The discipleship ministry is called “Oaks of Righteousness.” Our Pastor has attempted to develop this ministry of discipleship in a way that every believer in the church family can be involved. All it will take on your part is willingness to be involved. You can be involved either through self-study, one-on-one discipleship, or through a small discipleship group. Navigator's Topical Memory System

 Developed by the Navigators, a ministry leader in discipleship and spiritual formation, the Topical Memory System provides you with an effective, portable way to meditate on Scripture wherever life takes you.

 This class will be geared for those Believers who have been Christians for some time and want to deepen their walk with Christ as well as pass along discipleship skills to others.   Materials will be furnished as well as available electronically. After enjoying a great meal from our Food Services team in Fellowship Hall from 5 to 5:45 PM, our Pastor leads us in a Bible Study each Wednesday Night starting at 5:45 PM. Our current study is from 1 John. Come and enjoy a special mid-week message from God's Word.

South Tulsa Baptist offers three Precept classes. All meet in Fellowship Hall two on Mondays and one on Thursday. We have morning sessions that meet from 9:30 to 11:30 and an evening sessions meeting from 7 to 9 PM. The Penicks will offer Precept studies in the Study of Ezekiel Part 2 - When My Sanctuary is in Their Midst Forever, on Mondays, starting January 21.  Please contact Ray or Shirley by clicking here or calling the Penicks at 918-299-7832. Patrick Lovelace is starting a  Precept study   John Part 2- The Light of the World, which will begin on Thursday, January 3. Personality Plus: How to Understand Others by Understanding Yourself by Florence Littauer - (6/19/13 – 7/31/13 Break on 7/3/13)
Why do we do the things we do?  Why is that person whom God put in my life always so annoying?  Why do I feel that I am linked through my heart with that person?  When will I ever understand why that person loves me and we are so different?  This study will allow students to take a test to access their God given personality traits and determine which personality type they are, leading to a better understand of themselves.  They will also study other God given personality traits and gain a better understanding of the people around them.  Join me for a fun and revealing journey through the basic personality types that God has laid out for us, what makes each personality tick, and how to better understand those Christian Sister's that we come in contact with.  This will be a fun six week course with light homework.  We will meet from 5:45 to 7:15 each Wednesday evening starting June 19, 2013.  Contact Debby Arnold by clicking here or call 918-639-5777 if you plan on attending so a study guide can be reserved for you.

Pentateuch - Study of the first five books of the Old Testament

This is an accredited OBU course which students can take for 3 hours of college credit or those who audit this course may attend classes free of charge except for the purchase of the text. A freewill offering for the instuctor will be appreciated.
