MONTHLY SERIES: ACTS OF PRAYER
Talking, texting, posting, etc—students certainly are not strangers to communication. Communication with God, tends to be a different matter for most students. Prayer is vital for students in their spiritual transformation. As we learn to pray, we get to know God; as we get to know God, it becomes easier to spend time in prayer with Him. In this series we will learn the difference between praising God and thanking God. We’ll understand that confession restores our fellowship with God and gives a fresh start. We’ll also be teaching how thanksgiving expresses our gratefulness to God and challenge students to put others needs before their own. Join us!
KNOWN: NEW BIBLE STUDY MATERIAL FOR ALL YOUTH
KNOWN is a Bible study curriculum with a holistic approach to spiritual development helping students Know Christ, Own their faith, and make their faith Known. The strategy’s based on Luke 2:52 “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, (OWN – Inward Development) and in favor with God (KNOW – Upward Development) and with people.” (KNOWN – Outward Development). Each month will have a new theme focusing on either the KNOW, OWN, or KNOWN principals. We are also going to combine the same subject matter in our Mid week gatherings in order to take our students deeper. Visit www.lifeway.com/known
