Children's Mission Groups

tellstory-web

Missions is important at South Tulsa Baptist Church, and we believe that teaching our children to develop a love for God and all the people of the world is vitally important. Children’s missions classes meet each Wednesday night from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. during the school year. Enroll now! Groups begin again on Wednesday, September 4.

Tell the Story - This year in Missions children will  discover how Southern Baptist workers passionately and creatively tell Jesus’ story to people who have never heard it before. The mission stories they hear are designed to spark their creativity and prompt them to share their faith stories with others. Children will learn to support missionary storytellers by praying, giving, and doing missions in their own communities.

We are always looking for new leaders. Please contact the church office, 918-299-0904, or click here to e-mail Kim, if you would like to help.

Mission Friends

From age three to kindergartners, Mission Friends® provides the building blocks of faith and a basic awareness of God’s love for all people. Preschoolers become aware of God’s love, and they learn that others need to hear about this good news! They are involved in learning, praying, giving, and doing missions. Preschoolers learn of missions work in North America and throughout the world. Mission Friends will need three leaders in each class. We hope to have a 3s class, 4s class, and 5s class for our preschoolers.

Girls in Action (GAs)

GA is a organization for girls in grades 1–6 that helps girls:
    • learn a biblical worldview with an emphasis on missions learning and missional living
    • develop leadership skills to serve God and share His love with others
    • grow spiritually in their understanding of God and His mission, including how they are a part of God’s plan.

GA Pledge:  “As a GA, I will do my best to live a missions lifestyle that honors God by learning about missions, praying for missions, giving to missions, doing missions, and participating in the work of the church.”
GA Scripture Verse: “Give thanks to the Lord. Worship him. Tell the nations what he has done. Announce how honored he is” (Isaiah 12:4 NIrV).
GA Lifestyle Verse: “The Lord has shown you what is good. He has told you what he requires of you. You must treat people fairly. You must love others faithfully. And you must be very careful to live the way your God wants you to” (Micah 6:8 NIrV).

We have three classes for girls: 1st & 2nd Grade, 3rd & 4th Grade, and 5th & 6th Grade. It is our desire to have three leaders in each of these age groups.

Royal Ambassadors (RAs)

RA Racers Order Form (click here)

Royal Ambassadors (RAs) is a Southern Baptist mission education organization for boys in grades 1-6. RAs provides an opportunity for boys to develop Christian character through missions involvement and virtue commitments, in addition to growing spiritually, physically, mentally, and in relationships with others. Royal Ambassadors leaders utilize activities that are designed to help boys learn about God’s mission, participate in on-mission experiences, pray for and give to missions, develop and use mission skills, and learn about and support the missions work of their church and denomination.
Royal Ambassadors provides boys with the opportunity to be a part of the greatest adventure on earth: joining God in His mission of reconciling people unto Himself through His Son, Jesus Christ. Royal Ambassadors needs men who are willing to lead boys in being on mission with God and to teach them how they can serve as ambassadors for Christ.
