We’re inviting Dad’s, Son’s, and Daughters to join us for an exciting day of skeet shooting after church at the Tulsa Gun Club! We’ll leave after church (drive or ride the bus), grab a quick lunch, and then head to the shooting range. Bring: $10 shooting fee, a shot gun (we’ll have extra’s if you don’t own one), a box of shells (shot size needs to be 7.5, 8, or 9), safty glasses and ear protection. It’s going to be a blast! This will be the ultimate Christmas party ever! With the unbelievable Hawaiian decorations, you won’t even believe you’re in the youth room! We’ll have great fun and great food, so come hungry. Identity and drugs have always been tough issues during adolescent growth but today something bigger is on the horizon... the "Rules" changed! What is socially acceptable in media, schools, dailey dialogue, and even what's right and wrong is different today and not just from "when you were a kids." At the 10 Things Conference Jeff Berg (Youth and Family Specialist) will discuss the things you know probably and probably some things you didn't about things like: Bullying, Cell Phones, Dating & Sex, Drugs & Alcohol, Harmful Behaviors, Movies, Music, PC & Console Games, Pornography, and Social Networks. He will equip parents with some practical ways they can guard their kids and themselves from the many changes taking place in the culture. (Session 1: Youth Room at 9:30. This is the most exciting and memorable trips we offer! Belize is the perfect place to get an introduction to international missions. We’ll be doing a drama outreach, working with the people on the bananna farms and in the seine bight area doing VBS, door to door evangelism, etc... At Dare2Share you’ll be super charged to share our faith! It's the best teen evangelism conference in the nation hands down! This years theme is Fearless (Video Here). We are trying to put together another trip once again. It’s a little tricky because it requires students miss a day of school (Friday). If your interested in going ask your parents and sign up. The cost is only $85! Participants need to be at the church at 8am on April 17th. We’ll be staying in a hotel for one night only and will be back late on Saturday night. Bring at least enough food money for 4 meals. You may want to bring some extra money for snacks, conference shirts, CD’s etc... Hope you can join us!
On May 17th we’re going to celebrate with our graduating seniors by having breakfast together at BBD 2’s. (Seniors only) at 8:30am, then recognizing them in the 10:45 service. (Seniors please bring your cap & gown) Then that evening at 6:00pm we’ll have a slide show & reception. (Please bring 25 pictures and a Christian Song to Karen) Let’s all make plans to come and encourage our Seniors as they embark on this new chapter of life!
Choir Tour will be here before you know it. Location to be announced soon. The youth choir practices every Wednesday night at 5:30 during the school year. There will be a meeting for parents and students on May 17th after the 10:45am service in the choir room. On May 26th be at the church at 8:00am to load the charter bus. Lead THE Cause University is a week-long leadership training experience designed for students who are serious about advancing Christ’s kingdom. We’re not talking about a typical summer camp here! We’ll be working intimately with the Dare 2 Share staff to come up with a customized strategy to come home with that fits our group as we seek to make an impact for Christ! We'll leave at 5:00am on July 13th and get back around 9:00pm on July 19th. Bring enough extra money for fast food meals on the way. We’re planning on going to the Royal Gorge in Colorado for adventure activates such as white water rafting, zip lining, hiking, royal gorge bridge, etc… We are taking the upcoming seniors and graduates. The cost is $200. The cost goes up to $250 if not paid in full by June 22nd. We’ll be staying in a great cabin! Seniors, let us know ASAP if you want to participate! YOUTH EVANGELISM CONFERENCE: FIRST SOUTHERN, DEL CITY (AUGUST 7-8) $20
Joins thousands of students from our state as we rally together to be encouraged to take the Gospel into our school for the new year. We're leaving at 3:00pm on Friday and coming back around 6:00pm on Saturday. We’ll stay the night at Woodland Hills Baptist Church on Friday night so bring an air mattress and bedding. Also bring money for 2 meals. This will be a great way to get ready to reach out for the new school year!
On August 17th all our students will move up to the next grade in our Sunday Bible study groups! Students won’t want to miss this unique opportunity to meet their new teacher and make a fresh commitment to the Lord and His Church. We also are celebrating the arrival of the new 7th graders! We'd like all of our families with youth to attend the "Everyone Come Banquet" in the Fellowship Hall at Noon. At the banquet we'll cast the vision for the new year of ministry. If your family is involved in any way with our student ministry it will be important for you to be there!
The Allnighter is back! Prepare yourself for all night fun! This is a great opportunity to invite those friends that wouldn’t normally attend a regular church event.
