At Dare2Share you’ll be super charged to share our faith! It's the best teen evangelism conference in the nation hands down! This years theme is Fearless (Video Here). We are trying to put together another trip once again. It’s a little tricky because it requires students miss a day of school (Friday). If your interested in going ask your parents and sign up. The cost is only $85 but you can save $20 if you Register/Pay Online (click here) by April 1st! Participants need to be at the church at 8am on April 17th. We’ll be staying in a hotel for one night only and will be back late on Saturday night. Bring at least enough food money for 4 meals. You may want to bring some extra money for snacks, conference shirts, CD’s etc... Hope you can join us!
On May 17th we’re going to celebrate with our graduating seniors by having breakfast together at BBD 2’s. (Seniors only) at 8:30am, then recognizing them in the 10:45 service. (Seniors please bring your cap & gown) Then that evening at 6:00pm we’ll have a slide show & reception. (Please bring 25 pictures and a Christian Song to Karen) Let’s all make plans to come and encourage our Seniors as they embark on this new chapter of life!
Choir Tour will be here before you know it. Location to be announced soon. The youth choir practices every Wednesday night at 5:30 during the school year. There will be a meeting for parents and students on May 17th after the 10:45am service in the choir room. On June 1st be at the church at 8:00am to load the charter bus. Lead THE Cause University is a week-long leadership training experience designed for students who are serious about advancing Christ’s kingdom. We’re not talking about a typical summer camp here! We’ll be working intimately with the Dare 2 Share staff to come up with a customized strategy to come home with that fits our group as we seek to make an impact for Christ! We’re planning on going to the Royal Gorge in Colorado for adventure activates such as white water rafting, zip lining, hiking, royal gorge bridge, etc… We are taking the upcoming seniors and graduates. The cost is $200. The cost goes up to $250 if not paid in full by June 22nd. We’ll be staying in a great cabin! Seniors, let us know ASAP if you want to participate! YOUTH EVANGELISM CONFERENCE: FIRST SOUTHERN, DEL CITY (AUGUST 7-8) $20
Joins thousands of students from our state as we rally together to be encouraged to take the Gospel into our school for the new year. We're leaving at 3:00pm on Friday and coming back around 6:00pm on Saturday. We’ll stay the night at Woodland Hills Baptist Church on Friday night so bring an air mattress and bedding. Also bring money for 2 meals. This will be a great way to get ready to reach out for the new school year!
On August 17th all our students will move up to the next grade in our Sunday Bible study groups! Students won’t want to miss this unique opportunity to meet their new teacher and make a fresh commitment to the Lord and His Church. We also are celebrating the arrival of the new 7th graders! We'd like all of our families with youth to attend the "Everyone Come Banquet" in the Fellowship Hall at Noon. At the banquet we'll cast the vision for the new year of ministry. If your family is involved in any way with our student ministry it will be important for you to be there!
The Allnighter is back! Prepare yourself for all night fun! This is a great opportunity to invite those friends that wouldn’t normally attend a regular church event. We’re inviting Dad’s, Son’s, and Daughters to join us for an exciting day of skeet shooting after church at the Tulsa Gun Club! We’ll leave after church (drive or ride the bus), grab a quick lunch, and then head to the shooting range. Bring: $10 shooting fee, a shot gun (we’ll have extra’s if you don’t own one), a box of shells (shot size needs to be 7.5, 8, or 9), safty glasses and ear protection. It’s going to be a blast! Care Xplosion IS students on task putting ministry in motion by collecting canned goods to spread God's grace through groceries! It's a combined effort to meet the HUGE needs of the Ministry Center for the holiday season. We're asking youth groups from all over the Tulsa area to bring lots and lots of non-perishable food items to the Care Xplosion Experience at our church on Nov 11 (6:30-8:00). At The Experience we'll have amazing worship with a live band and an engaging speaker. This will be an event students will certainly want to bring their friends to. *STBC students pay attention to ministry publications, messages, and announcments for all the different ways we are raising food this year! Prepare fo the ultimate Christmas party ever! We’d love for everyone to dress up like the Decade your class chooses! Make sure and talk about it in Sunday School! We’ll have great fun and great food, so come hungry. Make sure you skip the regular Wed night meal in the FH. There’ll be lots of games, music, and free giveaways. Identity and drugs have always been tough issues during adolescent growth but today something bigger is on the horizon... the "Rules" changed! What is socially acceptable in media, schools, dailey dialogue, and even what's right and wrong is different today and not just from "when you were a kids." At the 10 Things Conference Jeff Berg (Youth and Family Specialist) will discuss the things you know probably and probably some things you didn't about things like: Bullying, Cell Phones, Dating & Sex, Drugs & Alcohol, Harmful Behaviors, Movies, Music, PC & Console Games, Pornography, and Social Networks. He will equip parents with some practical ways they can guard their kids and themselves from the many changes taking place in the culture. (Session 1: Youth Room at 9:30. MINISTRY CENTER DAY: JAN 18, 10AM-2PM (M.L.K. DAY)
This Martin Luther King day we’ll be spending some time serving at the Ministry Center. Students will sort food, clothes, etc... We’ll basically work on whatever needs to be done. Anyone is welcome and encouraged to participate. However this is a “Mission Day” requirement for those who are going to Belize with us this Spring Break. It will make you feel great to serve and will be lots of fun! Join us!
At Damascus Weekend students will be challenged at all points in their spiritual walks. We'll join a thousand other students at the LIFT Tour for a high-energy weekend focused on passionate worship, engaging teaching and spiritual discipleship designed to fuel faith within our hearts to build mature followers of Jesus who don’t just survive in society, but thrive! MISSION BELIZE (CENTRAL AMERICA): MARCH 12-19 ($1500) [PROMO VIDEO]
This is the most exciting and memorable trips we offer! Belize is the perfect place to get an introduction to international missions. One team will be doing the Freedom Drama and evangelism in local Schools and Banana Farms. The other team will be doing VBS, recreation ministry, door-to-door evangelism, Bible studies, etc, in a village called Monkey River. Mission participants must be flexible and willing to serve on whatever team they are needed to be on. Training and service projects are happening now. Training and Service Requirements.
